URBAN MORPHORIA
BREAK THE CHAINS

About me

ABOUT ME
I create because I believe crearing is essential to being human. Not because it has to be beautiful or perfect, but because it creates space to breathe.
Creativity is often treated as a side thing.
“I love what you do, but it’s not really for me.”
Or: “I’m not very creative.”
I hear that a lot. And honestly, it makes me sad — because creativity isn’t a talent, it’s a way of expressing yourself. In any form. This belief runs through my work.

I mainly use recycled metal and secondhand materials, giving existing objects a new life and story. I also choose secondhand clothing myself — it simply makes sense to me. My first designs grew out of fixing bicycles, which became the foundation of my Urban line.

Over time, I started creating more elaborate necklaces using pendants found in thrift shops and markets across the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, and India. Each piece carries traces of different places and histories.
I love helping people express themselves, especially those who think my jewelry isn’t “for them.”
I often ask them to just try it on, no pressure to buy.
More often than not, they’re pleasantly surprised.

The creations form my Opulent Treasures: objects to wear, feel, and sometimes keep close with intention.
My hope is simple — to inspire people to create, to experiment, to dare.

And yes, of course I also need to eat, so this is a business too.
But it’s one built on creativity, curiosity, reuse, and making space for expression.
